Nelson County Sheriff's Office is a full-time law enforcement agency that consists of 18 Patrol Deputies, 4 Sergeants, 5 Detectives, 7 full-time Court Security, and 6 Office Staff. The Sheriff's Office patrols 424 square miles that include Bardstown, Bloomfield, New Haven, Fairfield, Boston, Chaplin, and New Hope. Our Office is located next to the Nelson County Justice Center on Plaza Drive.

All property tax bills paid after April 1, 2026. Must be paid by cash, credit card, cashier's check, or money order.

NO personal checks will be accepted after this date. This only applies to the month of April, 2026.

The unpaid property tax bills as of April 15, 2026. Will be turned over to the County Clerk's Office at the end of the business day.
